Oh my goodness, for some reason "Unceremoniously dropped on my fanny here" made me laugh so hard I could hardly sit up. If I didn't already know, I would presume that my traveling companion Bobbi is as American as I.

It is a divine door - the small window, the ancient latches, the door nob that looks like the f-hole openings on my daughter's cello . . .

Once again my doors have no door knobs . . . perhaps I will search the old shops for a couple that look like the f-hole openings on my daughter's cello . . . I sense that there is music coming out from Bobbi's . . .

I love your drawing. It's the type of drawing that makes me think drawing should be so simple, but it never is. I love the image of the revolving door. I'm sure I'm stuck in there on days you are not!

Yesterday I went into the new world of an art shop and bought myself a set of pencils and a book on technique so that I can develop my sketching.

I retired last week, left the revolving doors behind and have unceremoniously dumped everyone to walk through a door like yours. Trust me Bobbi. I am feeling like a new person.
love Heather

I retired 27 years ago last June: You are in for a very busy time dear Heather. I took up writing just so I could continue to have a good healthy guilt complex about all those things I should have done last week. Now here you are running around making things, drawing things and conducting tours to mysterious places. All new retirees had better be careful not to open too many doors where they might "fall on fanny". Retirement is when you get to do all those things you meant to do when you had time__remember.

Bobbi's doors gave me plenty to think about. I'm thinking that they will be useful along the way. Perhaps being light we can carry one to use when we find a high fence.

The revolving door may be the one to carry with us. Lord knows I have been flung out of it enough times "onto my fanny" and into all sorts of situations.

In our present situation though I suspect those who choose to travel inside the revolving door may be released in different times or dimensions.
